Vietnam has a burgeoning community of cavers. Several caving groups exist, mostly based in the center and northern Vietnam (where the caves are located)
Vietnam is a member of the UIS.
There are 2 group of cavers in Hanoi.
- Hanoi Caving Club, they train very frequently around Ha Noi (Capital of Viet Nam), they explore, and survey the numerous caves available to them in Northern and Central Vietnam. They are the only caving association in Vietnam using Single Rope Techniques. They can be found on Facebook here. Their email is hanoicavingclub@gmail.com
- Vietnam Caving Association, they explore caves by foot or swimming. They can be found on Facebook here.
There are several commercial caving companies in Phong Nha-Ke Bang where the biggest cave in the world son doong is located. The two biggest companies are Oxalis and Jungle Boss
We also have recently created a cave rescue group, the first and only one in Viet Nam.
